Synopsis

Yan Qiren, once a legendary thief, transformed his stone-carving craft into acupoint mastery under the tutelage of a master named Shi Jiuge. Driven to prove the jianghu path could lead to honour, he returned home-only to find his son vanished. Grief and madness have consumed him; he stands frozen near Heaven's Pier, statue-like, mistaking strangers for his lost child. The protagonist encounters him surrounded by stone effigies of his younger self. By applying pressure to Yan Qiren's sealed acupoints using the Meridian Touch technique (taught through the encounter itself), the seal breaks, clarity returns, and Yan Qiren finally recognizes he is not speaking to his son. In return, he grants the protagonist mastery of the Meridian Touch-an acupoint art that immobilizes foes and disrupts their qi regeneration.
