Mechanics

An aquatic yokai-style boss summoned at the Dream-bearing Pillow area of Kaifeng (Sundara Land). The fight is mechanically distinct from most WWM bosses - the player uses a temporary fish-form moveset with specific skills: Q: Treading Waves (primary damage, builds Water Breath stacks), R: Pool Fish・Water Breath (ultimate finisher), and Phase 2 adds Pool Fish・Sudden Rain (significant damage reduction window).Stacks of Pool Fish・Water Breath are built through Q hits, deflections, and perfect dodges. The R-ultimate can miss if the boss is moving - save it for boss-stationary windows. Phase 2 introduces Azure Scale Envoys (adds that ambush during Exhaust windows) - Sudden Rain is the survival cooldown for ambush events.

Phases

Phase 1
Phase 1: Carp Lord

Fish-form combat with Q (Treading Waves) and R (Water Breath) as primary tools. Build stacks via Q, deflections, and perfect dodges. Mid-range positioning. Save R for boss-stationary moments - missed R prolongs the fight significantly.
Phase 2
Phase 2: Azure Scale Envoys

Adds appear - Azure Scale Envoys ambush during Exhaust windows. Pool Fish・Sudden Rain skill unlocks as a damage-reduction cooldown specifically tuned for the ambush. Cycle Sudden Rain on cooldown for extra damage if dodging cleanly; otherwise bank it for emergency damage reduction.

Strategy

This fight is a mini-game wrapped in a boss skin - standard WWM combat skills matter less than learning the fish-form skill rotation. Build stacks aggressively in Phase 1; conserve R until stationary windows. Phase 2: prioritise Sudden Rain timing - proactive usage for damage gains is acceptable only if your dodging is clean.Common mistakes: forcing R during boss movement (misses, wastes the ultimate), ignoring the Envoys in Phase 2 (they punish exhaust windows hard), and treating the fight as a normal melee encounter (the fish-form moveset is mandatory, not optional).
