Synopsis

A Ripple in Reality is the Qinchuan dream-fight. The Old Painter's house in the Dream-bearing Pillow holds a bowl that, when examined, transforms the player into a fish (Pool Fish). All martial arts are disabled. Combat is projectile fire + dodge + parry, building Water Breath stacks to four for activation windows on Lord Crimson Carp across three phases. The bowl shatters when the carp falls.

Gameplay Notes

The fight's signature is what is *removed* - no martial arts, no companion synergies, no Mystic Arts. Combat loop is steady-state, not burst: fire-dodge-parry-stack, repeat. Difficulty is moderate once the rule set clicks. Philosophical framing (Zhuangzi's butterfly dream) is loud in the in-game text - the dream / waking blur is the mechanic, not just flavor.
