Mechanics

The Chapter 1 finale boss - Aureate Pavilion's 'Heartseeker' witch, mixing long scythe combos with teleports and a brutal Phase 2 health-drain. Phase 1 is Red Qianye with Yi Dao as an ally NPC - wide sweeping scythe attacks and overhead swings with red-flash = perfect-parry windows (a five-swing string is all red and must be deflected, waiting for the second flash). Gold-flash = dodge-only, no block/parry option.Phase 2 sends the player to a mirror dimension with both Red and White Qianye forms. Continuous health drain every second - the only way to recover is to land hits or parry her attacks, turning the fight into a skill-intensive aggression-mandate. Red form gains burning status buildup and a charge-energy attack countered by Meridian Touch on prompt. White form is elusive - teleports, vanishes, reappears mid-swing with split-second reaction windows. Both forms demand perfect parries AND extreme aggression simultaneously.

Phases

Phase 1
Phase 1: Red Qianye (Yi Dao co-op)

Mortal arena, Yi Dao fighting alongside. Wide telegraphed scythe combos - five-swing red-flash string is the parry-deflect tutorial. Gold-flash dodge-only attacks layered in. Repeated parries drain Qi for massive burst windows. Easiest phase by design - sets up the Phase 2 rules-change shock.
Phase 2
Phase 2a: Mirror Dimension - Red Form

Triggers when Phase 1 HP empties: she jumps and slams scythe into the ground, the floor cracks, you fall into the mirror realm. Continuous HP drain begins. Red Qianye is significantly more aggressive - longer combos, stronger hits, burn-status buildup. Charge-energy attack appears with a Meridian Touch prompt - succeed to knock her back, fail to eat multiple energy waves + Burn.
Phase 3
Phase 2b: Mirror Dimension - White Form

Even more elusive - teleports and reappears mid-swing with split-second reaction windows. HP drain continues. The fight becomes deflect-everything + extreme aggression simultaneously. Cloud Steps or Nameless Sword for gap-closing into White's reappear-windows is essential.

Strategy

Panacea Fan is the canonical pick - its continuous self-healing trivialises the Phase 2 HP drain, letting you focus purely on parry counters to deplete Qi instead of optimising DPS uptime. Slower, safer fight but consistently winnable. Alternative aggressive route: Cloud Steps + Nameless Sword for fast gap-close, deflect everything, punish White Qianye's reappear windows. Three healing charges minimum.Phase 1: parry the five-swing red string fully - it's the main Qi drain. Save Meridian Touch for the Phase 2a charge-energy prompt. Phase 2: never block, deflect-only - block-attempts during the HP drain are unrecoverable. Common mistakes: trying to wait-and-react in Phase 2 (the drain punishes passive play even more than mis-parries), running DPS weapons without sustain (Phase 2 turns into an HP-clock you lose), and dropping Meridian Touch on the charge prompt.

Qianye, the 'Heartseeker' witch of the Aureate Pavilion - origins unknown, no record of when she first appeared in the Jianghu or why she serves the Aureate Pavilion. Her core ability is face-stealing / disguise, derived from 'a deep insight into the human heart, so refined that even if she became the one you love, you'd never know it.' Community theory: she disguised herself as Aunt Han during earlier story beats, planning to steal the player's face/skin as a future disguise material - the compliment-on-appearance dialogue at first meeting was scouting.She functions as the Chapter 1 climactic antagonist - the confrontation in the For Whom Does He Return main quest at Blissful Retreat. Her connection to 'that person' in Heaven's Pier marks her turning point in the broader story. Lore-mechanically she is the identity-loss boss: the mirror dimension Phase 2 is a literalisation of her face-stealing power, dragging the player into a realm where identity (and HP) actively drains.
