Synopsis

Fate is cruel, and calamity strikes Horsehelm Village. Deep within the desert, a mysterious woman (Xiaosheng) tends to dried-up wells, hoping to find water, and the quest follows the woman and the people of Horsehelm Village's fight to provide water for the village. Players explore a cave system below a closed well in the desolate Horsehelm Village oasis. To start the quest, track it in your Journal and ride to the oasis at the center of Jade Gate Pass, then activate the Horsehelm Village Boundary Stone. Beneath the sand-buried village, does the well water still flow? Does the lantern still burn? The path is set, but the light can be rekindled. You can hear the past interactions of the now petrified residents, who were once determined to dig the entire cave system to find water for their people. Xiaosheng seeks a lamp which was promised to her by He Youqu years ago; in exchange for offering water, the protagonist agrees to help find it.
