The fourth series of Chapter 3 pivots from Hexi's frontier to Chang'an's court. Cao Jing Guanyin is a young woman from a respected family, locked into an arranged marriage she does not want. She is a scholar by temperament - studying scriptures, copying scriptures, attending her Buddhist mentor's teachings. The Paper Moon arc starts when a thief steals scripture from her, and the chain of consequences pulls her - and the Young Wanderer - into a Chang'an story about devotion, identity, and what a person will sacrifice for someone they love.The series is composed of five quests. *Beyond the Lotus Seat* establishes Guanyin's world; *Embers of Love* (auto-triggered on completion of the first) opens the emotional thread; *The Moon She Holds*, *The Shattered Moon*, *To Light Her Way* (the fifth quest), and *To You, the Moonlight* track the arc toward its devastating climax - An Liuli, the character who has stood with Guanyin through the worst of it, sacrifices herself to become moonlight and return to Guanyin's side.The series is the most overtly tragic of Chapter 3's threads. Cao Jing Guanyin is not saved from her circumstances; she is given a way to live inside them. Gameplay Notes

The most dialogue-and-choice-heavy series of the chapter. Combat is sparse; investigation, conversation, and timing-of-arrival drive progression. The auto-triggered transition from Beyond the Lotus Seat into Embers of Love is unusual - players cannot delay it once the first quest closes. To Light Her Way is a midpoint sacrifice setup; the climax in To You, the Moonlight is largely scripted. Expect 90-180 minutes; this is the longest of the Chapter 3 series. Recommended to complete Burlap Sack and Liangzhou Melody first - Chang'an context lands harder with the Hexi miles behind you.
