Biography

A mythical wandering bandit and parry-combat duelist searching for Han Xiangxun. Intervenes to save the protagonist during the Aureate Pavilion raid on Heaven's Pier, and later returns as a Qinghe world boss.

Yi Dao is a wandering swordsman from the Western Realm who arrives in Qinghe carrying a posthumous message. He is reviled across the Jianghu under the moniker 'Killerblade' - a name earned, by his own admission, for crude conduct and a refusal to perform heroism. The contradiction baked into his character is that the only thing Killerblade considers sacred is honour, and the proof of that is the errand that brings him to Heaven's Pier in the first place.The errand is from Chu Qingquan, recently dead at Blackwater City - once Han Xiangxun's lover and brother-in-arms during the Khitan campaigns. Chu sent Yi Dao to find Han Xiangxun and deliver a secret tied to Uncle Jiang. Yi Dao does not know the full content of the secret; he knows only that the obligation is owed, and he is the one who pays it.When the Aureate Pavilion raids Heaven's Pier under Qianye's command, Yi Dao intervenes - not out of pre-existing alliance with the protagonist but because his mission to reach Han Xiangxun is being intercepted. He saves the player and exits the chapter as an unaligned third party with his own agenda still unfinished.After Chapter 1 closes, Yi Dao is promoted into a Qinghe world boss - found near the destroyed buildings at Blissful Retreat / Moonveil Mountains. The world-boss framing keeps him in continuity (the message was never delivered; Han Xiangxun is still missing) while letting the duelist combat that defines him become a repeatable challenge.

Public sources are light on portrait detail. Combat materials show him as a tall, broad-shouldered swordsman in dark travelling clothes with a single long blade - the build of a frontier bandit-hero rather than a sect duelist. His fighting style is parry-driven, framed as a duelist's discipline imposed on a brawler's reputation.

Personality

A crude outlaw on the surface - scoffs at the language of heroism, contemptuous of sect honorifics, abrasive in dialogue. Beneath that, an unshakeable code: a debt to Chu Qingquan that he is willing to die delivering, a refusal to pick fights with the unarmed, and a clear ethical line about who is and is not a legitimate target. The 'Killerblade' reputation is partly self-aware armour - he prefers being misjudged to being lionised.

In Ch.1 Yi Dao goes from anonymous wandering threat to verified ally. He is introduced as a rumour, encountered as a duelist on the road, then revealed as Chu Qingquan's messenger. His intervention against Qianye's raid is the chapter's first genuine outside aid. Yi Dao exits Chapter 1 as a known quantity - not a permanent companion, but a recurring presence on the Qinghe map.Post-Ch.1 his world-boss role keeps him narratively in-place. He has not delivered the message; he has not found Han Xiangxun; he has not given up. The end-state at v1.6 is unchanged in purpose but progressed in posture - Yi Dao is a fixed feature of the Qinghe landscape now, available to be fought as a test of the player's growth.
