Mimi is the paper fox - a small spirit-construct tied to the Painter's mural sequence and to the Gentle South Wind Arrives Jianghu Legacy quest. She appears as a companion figure alongside the Veiled Lady and 'Brother Camel' in the questline's opening framing, and is the constant across the aging-on-approach sequence: where the girl ages each time the player returns, Mimi remains as she is.Her main mechanical function is to deliver the Koi Key - a carry-forward item the player obtains by approaching a table near the well and interacting with Mimi after a full day's wait. The Koi Key is the entry-gate to the next mural sequence in Qinghe, and Mimi's role in giving it over closes the Gentle South Wind questline.
