The Veiled Lady is the boss of the Gone with the Wind questline, summoned by lighting the lamp under a wooden shed in Withered Woods at the Zi hour. She is approached first as a little girl, alone with her companions Brother Camel and the paper fox Mimi. Each successive approach by the protagonist ages her further - the girl becomes a woman becomes the Veiled Lady - until the final encounter reveals her in her full form.The Gentle South Wind Arrives Jianghu Legacy quest binds her storyline to the Painter and to Mimi: during a game of Mahjong, the Young Master promises a favour in exchange for information about the witch Qianye, and the favour eventually leads to confrontation in Withered Woods. After her defeat, the Veiled Lady reveals Qianye's location - bridging Qinghe's Jianghu Legacy content to the Hexi Azure Glow campaign.Her relationship to the rest of the cast is oblique. She is not Aureate Pavilion, not a sect, not a faction - she is a spectral figure tied to Withered Woods and to the Painter's mural sequence, with knowledge of the Pavilion's people that nobody else in Qinghe seems to have.

Appearance

A veiled figure - face concealed throughout the encounter - presented in successively older life-stages across the questline. The aging-on-approach is the visual signature: little girl with paper fox in the early scenes, full Veiled Lady at the confrontation. The veil itself is iconographic - funereal, ceremonial, deliberately a mask.

Personality

Mournful, ancient, and transactional. The Mahjong-game framing is telling: she trades information for favours, conducts herself with the manners of an older order, and treats the protagonist not as a hero but as a fellow participant in a long-running arrangement. There is melancholy in her presentation rather than malice - the boss fight is not personal, it is the price of entry.

End-state at v1.6: defeated, her knowledge transferred to the protagonist, her role completed.
