The Chapter 2 climax. The protagonist climbs the tower at the heart of the Kaifeng counterfeit operation, activates the re-entry mechanism for the furnace, and is dropped into a vast chamber lined with gold - the literal stomach of the lie. Chests bursting with coins. An invitation to greed, dressed as a reward.The boss arrives. The God of Avarice - also called the Black God of Wealth - is the chapter's antagonistic ideology in a body. Three phases. Phases one and two play at human scale, escalating combo pressure and trading momentum. Phase three is the chapter's signature beat: the God of Avarice becomes a giant. Melee is no longer the answer. The player has to use ranged bow attacks to hit the "eye" set into the god's staff - the chapter's economic metaphor sealed in mechanics, where shooting the eye that watches the gold is the only way to bring the figure down.The cutscene that closes the fight transitions fifteen days forward. Back in Kaifeng City, Big Zhao is recounting the events at a table - the chapter's narrator role briefly externalized to him. The protagonist returns to Granny's house in the Forsaken Quarter, and finds Yingying inside. Talking to her closes the quest and closes the Universal Furnace chapter.The chapter's thematic payload is delivered in this sequence. The Treasure Basin / Gold-Making Vessel was never just a stolen object; it was a literalization of how trust in currency becomes a vehicle for theft. Lord Shi - the Black Treasurer - is unmasked as Aureate Pavilion-aligned, knotting Chapter 2's local fraud back to Chapter 1's antagonists.

Three-phase boss fight; phase three is mechanically distinct from any earlier fight in the chapter, requiring confident bow usage. Players who skipped archery upgrades after the early tutorial will struggle - the staff "eye" is a small target with limited windows. Bring stamina-restoring consumables for phase two's combo pressure. Recommended player level: end-of-Chapter-2 gear, level 55+. The fifteen-day time skip is a hard scene transition, not player-controlled. Expect 60-120 minutes including the boss climb.
